Forty weeks? Somebody cue the theme song to Jeopardy.
Too bad that’s not true. It’s not necessarily his birthday, unless he chooses to come today. Which would be a-ok with me.
You should really get a prize when you make it this long and are still going strong.
Maybe if I eat a dozen cupcakes it’ll put this kid on a serious sugar high, and he’ll wiggle his way on out. That probably won’t happen. I tried it with caffeine over the weekend. I haven’t had caffeine this entire pregnancy, except for a mix up at Dunkin one day, so I tried it Saturday. All that did was make me jittery and completely nauseous. #fail
Baby Toma is 40 weeks today.
That is one BIG belly. It’s quite amazing to me how much a woman’s body can change for pregnancy. I can’t imagine how people with twins, triplets, etc feel. One is plenty for me.
Here’s what Baby Toma has been up to this week:
- According to statistics, he’s anywhere between 6-8 lbs and boys are normally slightly bigger than girls.
- All of his organs are ready to support him in the outside world and he’s gained lots of baby fat over the last week.
And here’s what’s been happening with me this past week:
Workouts: Walking. Lots of walking.
I had been avoiding it before because it was causing major abdominal cramps, but come to find out it was probably just him trying to drop so I’ve been at it every day this week. Come out baby!
Symptoms: Still have serious lower back pain and abdominal cramps. Little sleep. I’m ready.
Food Aversions: Chicken!
Recent Eats:
Sleep: Very little. I’m still battling my cold. It refuses to go away. Maybe that’s why he won’t make his appearance…
Fun & Weird Stuff From the Week: Nothing crazy happening. We’re all settled and waiting for him to come.
